Granite Processing Plant (Including Claims) For Sale – Zimbabwe

For sale is a tile producing plant (Black Granite) including 450 claims. The factory (cutting & polishing) is dormant but fully equipped, infrastructure in place. All the paperwork is in order, including the Geologist Report done by Dr. A. Roberts. There is huge potential at this plant as its on site at the quarries. The seller, asking $2.5m and will consider payment terms at his discretion.

Of particular interest is that aspect of the report on one of the quarry sites, namely, Site “D”.  He states that allowing for a conservative 3 metre thickness of suitable stone from the total thickness of approximately 10 metres will provide a potential resource of 810, 000 tons of quarry stone.  Allowing for a production loss of 50%, will provide sufficient stone for a daily supply of 35 tons for 30 years.

As you are aware a cubic metre weighs about 4 tons. Consequently the value of this site alone (35 tons divided by 4 = 8,75 cubic metres x 20 working days per month x 11 working months per year x 30 years x US$700 per cubic metre = US$ 40 425 000,00 (United States Dollars). The US$700 per cubic metre is based on the export value of a cubic metre as determined by the Minerals Marketing Corporation of Zimbabwe (MMCZ).

When operational, the tile plant was producing approximately 22 000 tiles of 300mm x 300mm x 10mm size per month; we priced each tile at an export price of US$5.00 (five USD); packed 10 tiles per styro-foam box; 28 boxes wood-crated-palletized; 26 crates would fit into a 20 foot container; amounting to 7280 tiles per each shipment and doubled if a 40 foot container be specified.

Of particular interest to any prospective Buyer is the potential of increasing production by the addition of another multiblade (20 blades) strip cutting machine for which infrastructure is in place. Production could be increased by approximately four times to 88 000 tiles per month.

In the event that the Buyer would wish to produce larger slabs for cladding and/or kitchen counter tops, tombstones, infrastructure for such machinery is also in place.
