The TEDx business event has come to Zimbabwe for the first time and I’m excited about the great work the organizers have done in putting all this together. In case you don’t know, TED is an international event that brings together some really smart people to share ideas and inspiration in various domains. Tedx does a similar thing;
From the Tedxharare site: In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TEDlike experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
Surprisingly, I’ve already gotten a few emails asking if I’m the person behind it. The answer is NO – not my genius at work – i stink at organizing events! BUT i am one delighted to be one of the speakers.

Many of you already know that i turn down most invitations to speak (too busy, not organised enough, short notice etc) – well this time i had to – seriously. Folks like Bill Gates, Richard Branson & Tony Robbins have all spoken at the main event overseas – now I finally have a way to creatively put my name is the same sentence as the founder of Microsoft!
Besides that, we’re all discussing the power of ideas (one of my favorite topics in the world as you might already know from my first book). Each speaker has 18 minutes to go for it – I’ll spend mine talking about
“Power To The People: How To Gain Power, Fame Fortune One Story At A Time”.
If you’re an entrepreneur, a leader or anyone with an important idea, that needs to go somewhere – you’ll want to hear it.

It’s probably too late to register for the event now, i don’t know, but if you’re smart, you won’t miss it on-line. The fine folks over at Tedxharare.com have all the details for you.
Go for it Max. Sounds exciting. I know you will shine in those 18 minute. Why 18, why not 20?

Thanks Max and congratulations for being one of the speakers. At this critical time, Zimbabwe needs people who are inspirational like you. Talking about ideas, I will suggest a topic on how to change one’s mindset. I believe given the great potential that Zimbabwe has, with the right mindset your beautiful country will rise again quickly to be one of the rising stars of Africa. By the way, I am from Ghana, but I am very passionate about Zimbabwe.
