Chicken or Pig…Which Are You?

Had a ham and eggs breakfast lately? The chicken laid an egg, maybe two, then went about it’s business until next time – probably never giving it another thought.
The Pig was different, he gave everything so you could have your ham breakfast, literally.  A days work for the chicken, a life-time commitment for the pig.  The chicken was involved, the pig was committed.

What about your goals, your success?

Are you just involved or fully committed?

Involvement Chickens don’t survive adversity, they can’t push past criticism, they quit after a few failures, they’re afraid to make mistakes. Chickens never gain mastery, they don’t build empires, they don’t leave legacies. Chickens don’t make history.

Pigs, people committed no matter what – they’re the opposite. These are the legends we admire, the heroes we celebrate, the world changers that the world relies on.

In your life, your business you’re serving up a meal for the world around you – ham and eggs. Are you involved or committed to success? Are you a chicken or a pig?

  1. @Kano, thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it.
@ Thoko, so true. Got me thinking too, there are a few areas that could do with some pig headed commitment!

  2. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know a lot about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you could do with some pics to drive the message home a bit, but other than that, this is fantastic blog. A fantastic read. I will definitely be back.

  3. this is exactly what we need to think about as believers. god has never called us to follow a title or position, but has called us to be servants to EVERYONE. we need to take care of our city, county, state, country, world. let us make a commitment, lets not just be involved 😉
